Hands of Hope of Illinois, a ministry feeding the needy. In 1996 God put upon the heart of Woodie Stiltner the vision of using his trucking company to help those in need. In the years since he has been joined by various others to accomplish this vision.
In 2007 Woodie asked a group of seven Christian men to serve on counsel for accountability of the goods being given to help the less fortunate. These men stepped forward in one accord. The ministry is now incorporated and received its status as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.
The ministry has grown from using trailers for food storage where it would take an average of 10 hours hunting through trailers to get one trailer of food ready to go out to our first warehouse where we can now store up to 20 truckloads of food. We are now averaging over 90,000 lbs of food a week given to those in need.
